Naija schools no use over 400,000 admission slot-JAMB

 

The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) say tertiary institutions for Naija fail to utilise more than 400,000 admission slots for 2020 undermining say hundreds of thousands of candidates dey available to fill those spaces.

According to one JAMB policy document wen reach news people hand, the more than 400,000 admission spaces wen dem no use represent 43.78 per cent of the total admission quota for last year Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Data from the document show say kians dem only admit 551,553 candidates out of the 956,809 admission quota wen dey available to them from the 2020 UTME.

JAMB come talk say the institutions wen dis one so include universities, polytechnics and colleges of education.
