The Federal Government don talk say two million people go start to dey receive about N20bn as from June this year as basic cash transfers and conditional cash transfers under the National Cash Transfer Programme.
According to reports, the Federal Government go pay the two million people N5,000 each under the basic cash transfer and one additional N5,000 under the conditional cash transfer and dis one now mean say the government go dey spend N20bn on the beneficiaries.

The report talk say for 2018, dem cover a total of 19 states under the National Cash Transfer Programme, the number come increase go 24 states for 2019, then e come move up go 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory for 2022 wit 1.6 million people wen e cover.
But the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Farouq talk for the document say the number go increase further for June. Under the cash transfer scheme, the Federal Government dey support poor and weak households with cash on a monthly basis.
She say the ministry design and den pilot one shock-responsive social register wen dem dey call the Rapid Response Register to capture urban poor informal workers, when dey make their money everyday wen dey work across towns and cities wen the COVID-19 lockdown don affect.
The minister say, “To date, out of this one million wen the government dey target, dem don fit pay the sum of N5000 give 850,000 beneficiaries digitally through the Nigeria Inter-bank Settlement System, where each account dey carefully validated by the system before payment.
She say dem go pay “150,000 by the end of April 2022 and each of these beneficiaries dey receive six months of support in cash.”
Under the National Social Register, the ministry say dem don register 46 million persons for the 36 states and FCT for 11 million households as at 2022.
The ministry come talk say the N-Power volunteer scheme still provide temporary job opportunities for 498,602 graduates under Batches A and B, while dem still engage 450,000 graduates under Batch C Stream 1.
