VAT case: South-South States Stand With Rivers

 

Five govinor for South-South don join Rivers and Lagos State ontop the case wey dey get with Federal Inland Revenue Service, base on Value Added Tax (VAT) with Supreme Court.

Na for govinors meeting of South-South Forum wey dem do for Port Harcourt Goviment House on Monday, dem take reason the matta.

Govinors wey dey there na Nyesom Wike wey welicom dem, Ifeanyi Okowa (Delta), Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom), Godwin Obaseki (Edo), and Douye Diri (Bayelsa).

Cross River State governor Prof. Ben Ayade, nor come and nor send any bodi come.

Chairmo for South-South Govinor Forum, Okowa wey read wetin dey their mind, say dem support make states dey collect VAT.

The short name wey dem give their sef na BRACED (Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Edo and Delta), don tight their security unit.

Okowa say, “BRACED States don do their own security unit, and dem gree for the togeda security too, wey dem go soon open.

Dem support say make dem dey collect VAT and dem go folow join the case for Supreme Court.

Make Presido and National Assembly reason wetin dem sign for Petroleum Industry Act, so that everi bodi go smile.

He say make the change, dey resin the village wey get oil and the pipo wey dey for front, make e be say na the state goviment dey put them.
