Ministry of Agriculture don flag off rabies vaccination

 

The Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources wen collabo with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development don flag off the 2020/2021 Rabies Vaccination Campaign and the distribution of biosecurity inputs to pig farmers and poultry marketers for across Delta State.

Delta State Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Hon. Julius Egbedi when perform the flag off for Asaba come talk say the programme come dey necessary in order to stop the outbreak of different animal diseases like rabies for dogs and cats and other animals for the State.

Hon. Egbedi come still talk say the State Government don provide some disinfectants and motorized spraying machines wen dem go share give pig farmers for the state after the outbreak of African Swine Fever for the second and third quarter of 2020.

He come talk say dem go distribute d inputs through the Area Veterinary Officers for across the 25 local government areas of the State becos of the COVID-19 preventive protocols, and dis one na even as he say poultry farmers and marketers go benefit from the level.

Meanwhile, the Delta State Director of Veterinary Service, Dr Charles Diai wen yarn for d occasion come talk say the World Health Organization (WHO), don propose the end of rabies by the year 2030, even as he come tell the beneficiaries to make use of the input wen dem dey receive den he come still Deltans to bring their dogs and posi for vaccination.
